Fernando Valverde (Granada, 1980) is a Spanish poet, writer, and Associate Professor of Spanish and Poetry at the University of Virginia. Scholars from nearly 100 international universities chose him as the most outstanding Spanish-language poet born after 1970. His work has received major poetry awards in Spain and has reached readers across languages and continents.
